Function and use 41BSE000
The 41BSE000 is an IP65-rated base that allows the 41SAI000 and 41SCI000 loop sirens to be used outdoors. The manufacturer describes both sirens as indoor units that are also suitable for outdoor installation when mounted on this base. Comelit states the IP65 rating for the base.
Loop sirens for the 41BSE000 base
The 41SAI000 is an addressable indoor siren that is powered from the loop and controlled by the panel through a communication protocol. The 41SCI000 works in the same way and adds a flashing light. Both sirens have a built-in isolator.
Standards 41BSE000
The 41SAI000 siren is approved to EN 54-3 and EN 54-17, while the 41SCI000 is also approved to EN 54-23. EN 54-3 covers fire alarm sounders and EN 54-17 covers short-circuit isolators. EN 54-23 covers visual alarm devices, such as the flashing light of the 41SCI000. In the IP65 code, the 6 means full protection against dust and the 5 means protection against water jets.
