Function and use 1404
The 1404 is, by Comelit’s own name, a digital switching device for 2-wire Simplebus Top systems. In the Quadra Kit brochure the switcher appears in the additional functions layout and the system expansion layout diagrams. The 1209 power supply of the diagrams is, according to Comelit, a 33 VDC unit with overload and short circuit protection devices.
Difference from 1405
The 1405 switcher is limited to kit installations with up to 2 entrances and a Quadra outdoor unit. The 1405 is 2 DIN modules in size and measures 35 x 90 x 58 mm. Its DIN size is therefore half the 4 modules of the 1404.
